Use of the formula according to Traditional Chinese Medicine:

  • expels Gu ("worms" = microbes, yeast and parasites) with sharp and aromatic Yao
  • moves blood and relieves pain in joints and other musculoskeletal tissues in diseases caused by a hidden pathogen
  • drains wind and dampness
  • supports proper movement of Qi
  • tonifies Qi and blood, benefits the liver and kidneys

Description:

Modification of the basic formula for a hidden pathogen (Gu diseases) for conditions dominated by joint problems

In Chinese medicine, Gu is a term for "worms". In a more modern sense, however, it is not just worms. The formula is used to treat a large group of diseases of "external" origin – i.e., the organism is attacked, often by bugs that are very resistant to treatment, such as Borrelia, Chlamydia, yeast, etc. Even after classic treatment is completed and everything seems to be in order, part of the pathogen remains hidden in one of the deeper layers, waiting for its "opportunity". We then speak of a so-called "hidden pathogen". It can reactivate at any time when the level of our defensive energy drops below a critical limit, or when it does not flow as it should, for example due to stress, which generates heat through emotions.

Western diagnostic methods often reveal nothing, yet we do not feel well. We keep experiencing states of fatigue and exhaustion and feel "like something is coming on". We have headaches, joint or muscle pain, we feel feverish or actually measure a temperature, we have a sore throat, or even white spots on our tonsils.

This formula is a modification for dominant joint involvement, which not only expels Gu from the body using sharp and aromatic products (it contains mint and perilla in the name, the third emperor herb is Dahurian angelica), but also moves blood stasis and thus stops pain. The formula not only expels the "bad", but also gently supports the "good" so that the weakened organism can deal with the uninvited guest: it tonifies Qi and blood, and also supports the liver and kidneys and their tissues (tendons and bones).

Indications:

  • hidden pathogen – chronic infections and inflammation
  • symptoms are diverse, may or may not be pronounced
  • dominant joint pain
  • muscle and skin pain
  • exhaustion, easy fatigability
  • feeling of increased temperature
  • headaches
  • chronic sore throat, white spots on tonsils
  • skin problems
  • digestive problems
  • neuromuscular problems
  • dizziness, "brain fog"
  • psychological imbalance

Modern use:

  • Lyme disease
  • systemic candidiasis (overgrown yeast)
  • chlamydia
  • chronic mononucleosis
  • chronic fatigue syndrome
  • pinworms
  • tapeworms
  • roundworms
  • schistosomiasis
  • filariasis
  • acquired immunodeficiency syndrome HIV/AIDS
  • autoimmune diseases

Tongue:

  • according to the prevailing pattern

Pulse:

  • according to the prevailing pattern

Note:

At the beginning of using the formula, a so-called Herx reaction may occur, which is how the organism reacts to cleansing from pathogens; it may manifest as restlessness, nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea and worsening of heat symptoms – during the reaction it is good to drink plenty of fluids, rest and contact a Chinese medicine therapist.

For the formula to be fully effective, it must be administered in sufficiently high doses, which are higher than usual, for a period of at least 3–9 months.
