Use of the formula according to Traditional Chinese Medicine:

  • harmonises the psyche – the imperial soul Shen
  • harmonises and connects the heart and kidneys
  • replenishes Qi and blood
  • nourishes Yin
  • strengthens the centre

Description:

This is one of the modern variations of the classic An Shen Wan, focused on calming the spirit by clearing heat and nourishing Yin and blood. The functions of the mixture remain the same, we have only refined and balanced the composition of the formula to make it optimal for use in children.

What does the function An Shen – calming the spirit – mean in Chinese medicine? This can be achieved in two ways. Either by using heavy products that "press the spirit down", settle it – and thus calm it, or by using nourishment. The spirit is often restless precisely because it is starving, because it lacks nourishment. And why? Children with hyperactivity and attention deficit disorder are extremely lively, something forces them to constantly move, talk, shout, they may appear messy, forgetful and impulsive. They are often reprimanded, and not just at school. They are impulsive to the point of being "unmanageable"... What causes this state? There is usually additional heat present in the organism. It may still be a remnant of Tai Re, so-called foetal heat, or it arises during an incorrect transition to adult food, or as residual heat after infections or vaccinations. This heat, on the one hand, exhausts vital substances, and on the other hand, forces the Shen spirit into ever greater activity. In addition, heat promotes the formation of phlegm, which prevents the spirit from orienting itself correctly – the "clear orifices" are "clogged". And so the vicious circle closes. Cognitive functions seem worse than they actually are and the child receives the unpleasant "label" of an ADHD diagnosis and problem behaviour.

Our formula gently clears heat and replenishes the right nourishment. This calms the spirit. In addition, the combination of Ginseng, Poria cocos and Polygala helps to "write on the blackboard" with the right information, builds internal order and creates new habits. The combination of Ginseng, Atractylodes, Poria cocos and liquorice strengthens the centre of the body and prevents the formation of phlegm. The heart is also anchored by strengthening the lower pole of the Qi mechanism – the kidneys (we strengthen their essence and Qi).

The child calms down, is able to concentrate much better, and therefore begins to enjoy activities that they previously "could not sit through" – and a weight is lifted from the hearts of parents and teachers alike. The mixture therefore calms the spirit for those in the surroundings as well...

It may be a remnant of Tai Re, so-called foetal heat, or it arises during an incorrect transition to adult food, or as residual heat after infections or vaccinations.
