It has a pungent taste and a warm nature. It helps with colds, detoxifies, promotes sweating during fever, sensitivity to cold, headaches, constipation and diarrhoea, and destroys parasites. It is excellent as a garnish; simply chop the green stalks and use them to decorate soups and side dishes.

It contains vitamins C, B2, B3, A and K. As for minerals, it contains copper, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, chromium, manganese and fibre. It is also a huge source of flavonoids.
