It is also among the oldest herbs, known to the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. It spread very quickly throughout Europe. There are about 25 species of mint.

It is used for digestive problems and bloating, as well as for hoarseness and colds. In the kitchen, it is used in fruit salads, desserts, tomato juice and mixed drinks, and together with garlic in spreads.

Mint is of a refreshing nature and sharp taste; it releases stagnation and gets things moving. It has a beneficial effect on the spleen and large intestine.
