It is a delicacy that has always signified a certain opulence. The most valuable is genuine caviar, which is white and then gradually turns black. It is produced from sturgeon fish, with the most expensive coming from the beluga sturgeon. However, we can also buy imitation caviar, which is red and is mostly obtained from zander, salmon, carp or tuna. The largest source of caviar is the Caspian Sea, followed by the Black Sea and the basins of certain rivers such as the Amur or the lower reaches of the Danube.

In our country, we have the opportunity to buy freshwater fish caviar at a pleasant price, and in Russian shops, you will come across pink salmon caviar, which is also affordable for the average person. It is not necessary for us to eat caviar daily, but occasionally it is good to include it in our diet during celebrations or significant occasions.
