Citri reticulatae Pericarpium viride - pericarp

Nature:

  • warm (cool, sinking, non-toxic, strong, yang in yin, yin)

Taste:

  • pungent, bitter (salty, slightly sour, dense)

Tropism:

  • liver, gallbladder and stomach (triple burner)

Direction of action:

  • sinking

Effects:

  • smooths the liver

  • breaks up stagnation
  • dissipates nodules

Dosage:

  • 3 – 10 g, standard 4 g

Contraindications:

  • caution required in case of qi deficiency
