  • bitter, pungent

  • stomach, liver and gallbladder (large intestine)

  • descending

Effects:

  • expels wind and dampness

  • clears heat from Xu
  • removes jaundice

Dosage:

  • 3 – 12 g, standardly 3 g

Contraindications:

  • caution required after weakness following a long illness, excessive urination and loose stools
